The 12-th international Caucasus Travel Show 2013 is ongoing in Yerevan, with 58 organizations out of 75 representing Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.
The President of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations Felicitas Wressnig, the special guest of the exhibition, familiarized herself with the possibility of establishing a guide training regional center in Armenia.
As Ms Wressnig told March 2 press briefing jointly with the head of department of tourism and territorial economic department Mekhak Apresyan, it will take WFTGA Board of Directors about 8 weeks to come up with proposals and take a final decision.
“The initiative aims to train guides in line with international standards,” she said, adding that local experts, as well as students from different countries will be enrolled in the center.
2 international experts and 7 local experts with WFTGA certificates are planned to be employed in the center. / source: BizArmenia.com
